Instructor Information

Linda Rzoska (pronounced zoo-ska): Center for New Media Faculty and Program Chair for Art & New Media.

I joined the full-time faculty at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2000. Before teaching at the Center for New Media my professional experience involved both traditional and digital graphic design and illustration, along with business administration and marketing. I have been a designer and illustrator for a Fortune 500 company, a freelance illustrator, and the owner and creative director of a design and illustration studio (for 15 years). For more information see: http://www.lindarzoska.com.

My bachelor’s degree is from Western Michigan University where I studied painting. My master’s degree is from Aquinas College. Even though I made a living as an illustrator and designer I continued on with my fine art career. My current work is inspired by my interest and research in nature, folklore, mythology and comparative religion.

As an educator, I believe in encouraging a student’s individual artistic development. I make a point to understand and appreciate the unique qualities of each student — to help them improve their skills and allow their particular talents to blossom.
